looking at the ppc again I think it is the Annunciation
looks like the angel is pointing the arrow at the woman (mary?) maybe she means that it's a first to see a scene like this (dark). I don't think it's the annunciation. this is from a church in milan. my thought is that the scene of mary being visited by gabriel would be a bit more uplifting. i mean, he was telling her about bearing christ after all.
